JAGUAR Recording First Studio Album In Ten Years
July 31, 2013NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) legends JAGUAR are in the studio in the southwest of England laying the intial tracks down for their new album, due out later this year. Entitled "Metal X", the CD will be made available ten years after the release of JAGUAR's last full-length effort, "Run Ragged".
Says the band: "From what our ears can tell, this is shaping up to be 'Metal X' mayhem, taking it right back to the beginning, to true NWOBHM metal. From the outset, even the slow tracks are faster than ever!
"If there was something to look forward to this year for true die-hard and new converts alike, this British metal album could be something special!
"We are doing what we do. It has taken a while, but we are stoked with what we have to offer on this album.
"Look out — it seems as we get older, we are getting faster!"
In January 2007, Majestic Rock issued the first in a series of Internet-only archive releases containing a 1982 soundboard recording of JAGUAR performing in Hengelo, Holland. Entitled "Holland '82", the CD was strictly limited to 1,000 copies and featured sleeve notes from JAGUAR guitarist Garry Pepperd. It was only available from the Majestic Rock web site.
"Run Ragged" was released in July 2003 through Angel Air Records.
